Round 3 - Report
The Virtual Touring Car Series continued with Round 3 at the Red Bull Ring.
Qualifying:
David Ward took pole position with a time of 55.339, ahead of Kristian Wuermeling in second and Mark Peck in third. Alfie Nicholls and James Egan completed the top five on the grid.
Race 5:
David Ward started the race from pole position and led every lap, setting the fastest lap time in the process, to secure a dominant victory. Mark Peck finished in second place, over six seconds behind the winner, with Kristian Wuermeling completing the podium in third. Tobias Kantert, Chriss Lindenau, Jakub Ochmanski, James Egan, Alfie Nicholls, Brian Hunter, and Frank Pals completed the top ten.
Race 6:
Alfie Nicholls started from fourth on the grid but emerged as the winner of the race, setting the fastest lap time in the process. Kristian Wuermeling put in another strong performance to climb from ninth on the grid to finish in second place, with Chriss Lindenau completing the podium in third. Tobias Kantert and James Egan finished in fourth and fifth place, respectively. David Ward had to settle for sixth place, with Brian Hunter, Frank Pals, Jakub Ochmanski, and Zak Holness completing the top ten.
Overall, the Red Bull Ring provided exciting racing and saw multiple drivers claim podium finishes. David Ward remains the championship leader, but with strong performances from Kristian Wuermeling and Alfie Nicholls in Round 3, the championship battle is heating up as we reach the halfway point of the season. The drivers will now prepare for the next round of the Virtual Touring Car Series, which takes place at Road Atlanta.
